Thanks to the beautiful Mandi for taking some time to help me with this shoot.
This was shot at 1/120 with f-4.
Printed on a 8x10 at 36 sec. with an f-11, there was significant burning done to the upper left hand corner because my camera meter didnt factor the light in correctly.
This image has an odd contrast depth for being so low (a 2.5 grade filter); probably because it was exposed on Ilford PF-4 125 film, possibly even because of the choice of paper.
This print was matted on black 11x14 matte board.
I'm thinking of using an alternative printing techinque to give it a blue hue. What do you think?
Remember: my scanner typically throws off my images' contrast, and my monitor is not collaborated; so I doubt you're seeing what is actually printed. And I take a lot of pride in my printing.
There are some things I wish I would have done better on in this picture; I'll be spotting it when I have the time.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR LEAVING ME WITH CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISM! I'm sick of people just telling me that's it's nice or beautiful. Blah.... I do agree... I really dont like this print myself, it just doesnt stand out to me; it was just something to randomly put in DA... I've yet to put anything semigood in here.

Well done, Matt. I would like to leave "constructive critisism", but photography is not my area of knowledge. Something about her body looks offish, but beyond that, it's pretty.
It's actually in the diagnol lines that start wider apart in the top and move smaller toward the bottom. They dont portray the human form correctly (obviously no one's body is like that) however they were used as a compositional element in this image in hopes of drawing the eye toward the rose.

sort of gives a dream-like atmosphere, as if she is completely lost in thought
